On Tuesday I went to the Mishkin art gallery. The tour wasn’t long at all. Only con is that there were lots of people and only 25 could go in at a time. It took about 20 minutes. We looked at pictures and she described a little bit about the artist and a little bit about the work. From this workshop I learned how to look at photography. A lot of the times when I look at photographs or some art work I wonder, “what’s so special about it?” Today the tour guide taught me that photographers and artists try to manipulate actuality into something else. It’s like looking at clouds. They’re just clouds but if you look long enough, you can see things. I was a little disappointed that we only went over several photos. I found other photos more captivating but she never went over them.
