On October 8, 2009, I attended a workshop on building and managing relationships in college. The workshop had a lot of freshmen, I was surprised by the number of people that were in the room.
The speaker told us that the age that we are right now is very important to our futures. At this age, we are trying to develop relationships with other people at college. These relationships will eventually develop into connections for the real world. I think that this is very important for someone like me to accomplish in college as I want to major in Business.
As an exercise, we were told to go around the room and meet five people and talk to them. I found this exercise to be very fun and productive. I was able to meet people that want to pursue all different majors and go into different fields when they leave Baruch. I even met someone who wanted to be a Corporate Lawyer like me!
