Student Life: Helpline

For my Student Life workshop, I attended the informational session conducted by Helpline. Helpline is a health and wellness peer counseling program. During the informational session, we received pamphlets on nutrition.
The pamphlet was very informative as it taught me how I can get regular exercises from everyday activities. For example, instead of taking the elevator, I can take the stairs instead or getting off the train a stop earlier and walk the rest of the way home. These are very simple things that I can do in my daily routine that can help make me healthier.
The pamphlet also taught us how to read nutrition facts. It had a very informative sample of a nutrition fact label from a Mac & Cheese box. The pamphlet also taught me about portioning my meals, which I find very helpful.
