Today I went to go watch the movie Capitalism: A Love Story.
Today was also the last day to go see this movie in the theaters.
It’s a documentary teaching us about what capitalism means and how its effecting society. I thought it would be boring since its all factual and economics but actually it was a pretty funny and moving film about how capitalism is adopting the survival of the fittest theory in business. It strongly emphasized that in capitalism one man’s success is at the cost of many poor workers and the survival of the fittest theory is leaving many to die. Is that what it means to be an American? Free with democracy but not free by the economic system? It talks about how the economic system is running democracy with bribery and how we need to take action. I don’t want to spoil the film for anyone.
I wasn’t attracted by the title but the online reviews did motivate me a little to go. After watching the film, I strongly suggest that a history teacher should show this film rather than something like Fog of War. >.>
