Today I went to the Freshman Reception for academic advisement and on helpful tips for freshmans. Unfortunately, this was not a good experience because an adviser came in, talked about some basics for 10 minutes and then we left. In addition, she didn’t have enough copies of guides for us. She only told us breifly that we needed to have 75 credits before being able to talk to an advisor and she told us what an BBA degree was about. That was about it. She also encouraged us to go to the center tomorrow to pick up a folder of things that we needed to know as freshmans. Overall, this experience was a negative one because I expected her to go over some things that we should basically know, like choosing classes or dropping classes.
