Basic Interviewing Techniques: Career Exploration Workshop

On October 29th, I went to a workshop which talked about basic interviewing techniques. I found this workshop extremely helpful and informative. The speaker was interesting and interacted with the students in the workshop. We were given a packet with information on different interview questions and strategies, how to dress for success, questions to ask employers, and company research resources. Honestly, I think reading this packet and really practicing for an interview is definitely the key to scoring a job. During the workshop we discussed more fully the topics in the packet and had a short practice interview with the person sitting next to us. After attending this workshop I definitely realized how much the Starr Career Development Center can help with my interviewing skills! By far, this was my most helpful and useful workshop.
