The Nature of Landscape/The Nature of Photography

It was fascinating to see the different images in the art gallery.  The aerial photographs taken by Marilyn Bridges created new perspective on places like Machu Picchu and a New York City toll plaza.  Bridges’ photographs also try to influence the scale and texture.  Ralph Gibson’s photograph stresses the abstract qualities of nature.  I wish that I had more time to look at all the pictures, but too many students were waiting to see the exhibit.  This was a worthwhile experience plus it was free.
