I went to the Managing Relations enrichment workshop on October 8th. I really liked how organized this workshop was. It had not only one, but two powerpoint presentations, one on each side of the room. It was held in a huge room unlike the other small rooms that were used for enrichment workshops. We were split up into groups of three people and forced to talk about the different kinds of relationships that a college student faces. We talked about relationships with family, with friends, and with a significant other and how we manage our time. The people at the workshop also encouraged us to meet new people in Baruch and made us participate in activities to get to know one another. They made us go across the room and talk to someone new. I found this workshop to be really useful because most college students aren’t left with a lot of time for out-of-school relationships after they are done with studying and writing papers. The workshop made it easier for students to manage their relationship outside of school as well as any relationships they may have already formed in school. I liked how organized this workshop was and how hard the people who organized tried to enrich us.
