My biggest appreciation for Baruch is perhaps the great diversity of the student population. I have met and laughed with several people in and out of my block whom are all of different ethnic backgrounds. Our English 2100 class is my favorite class right now with a cool professor and interesting curriculum about New Media. My math professor and art history professors are also legit, however the courses are just not in my range of interests. Our speech professor… woohoo our last speech is coming up. The end.

I am loving Baruch so far. I must admit, I am a little nervous about getting a good start in college and making sure I am able to take full advantage of this opportunity. But I am very driven so far and will make sure that I succeed. I haven’t done much on campus other than go to class and walk around exploring a little. I’ve met some new very interesting people and even some clubs that I am interested in. For now I am simply getting in the flow to succeed for the first semester and continue through the rest of college. I am doin my work and taking steps towards other involvement in the school such as athletics and club organizations. I deffinetly can’t complain, Baruch has everything I need, I just have to go out and get it and learn the ropes of surviving in college.

I’m enjoying my Baruch experience thus far; there’s a sense of diffusion when I walk through large crowds of people (which makes me comfortable). The elevator situation doesn’t bother me much, and most of the professors are pretty chill. I met a few cool peeps through the block program.

  4. Baruch is great so far. I’ve realized I need to be more active and involved with the campus though. The escalators would help a lot, I really support that statement my peers have brought up. The elevators are always crowded, but I don’t mind. The interior of the VC feels like it belongs. It feels like Manhattan inside. Crowded, noisy, busy, and very fast paced. The elevators remind me of the morning rush hour with the subway. It’s basically the same thing and I love it. The professors are great so far and I wonder how my classes are going to melt as the semester progresses. I am also impressed with Baruch’s resources. I plan on using them all. I also agree with Nicola, these blocks are great when it comes to making contacts, but they don’t help us with times, job fittings, sports, nor convenience in general. But it’s an awesome experience so far. I’m glad to be apart of the Baruch community.

I agree with everyone else. Not having working escalators sucks. But, everyone is very friendly. The professors are ok.I think being in a Block code this semester makes it a bit easy when meeting other freshman.

I think Baruch is great so far. The professors are friendly and helpful as well as the other students. However, what I dislike is the broken escalators from the first floor to the fourth floor and the elevator situation. The elevators are fine in the morning but get really overcrowded during the afternoon. It takes sometimes 5 minutes or more to get into an elevator. Also, I dislike the breaks in between classes, I feel that two hours is a bit too long, but I guess it can’t be helped. Other than that, it’s been a nice experience so far.

Baruch so far is a great school. Its easy to meet people because there are so many and mostly everyone is friendly. Im happy with my schedule. my professors and my block. It would be a lot easier if the escalators worked and if the elevators weren’t so crowded. That’s beyond anyone’s control, but thats really the only upset so far. :]

I like Baruch so far.. I would rather have a schedule with times I could have picked myself, but otherwise I am enjoying it.
My professors seem very nice so far and the students are welcoming.
