freshman reception

I  went to the workshop, freshman reception, in the centre of academic advisement today, Sept 17. The workshop was about the declaration of minor and the number of credits that we sholud get for the intended major. Even though the topic of the workship was interesting, yet the time for that was so short. We only spent 10 minutes for the workshop as one of the faculties, Sarah Wagner, said that because there were around 2000 freshmans coming to Baruch this year, comparing with only around 200 students in last year , they did not prepare well for the workshops today. Even they joked about that they only had cokkies for 150 students, not expecting that there were so many freshmans this year. Therefore, from this freshman reception, I just acquired little information about the school. It was just too bad. In the following workshops, I hope that I will know much more about the school than this time.
