I went to the center for academic advisement at Baruch College. I asked few questions today in room, NVC1-107. It was a great experience you could have. Each student has to get 10 checks for different subject. I asked adviser questions who comes from health center, finincal aid, athletics, Cuny BA program, Student life, dgree works audit, Bursar’s office, testing & Evalution and also writing center. They are very patient and go over my questions. The most intersting is that i got a free “Gilette”, maybe because I went there so eariler. Now, I have known the exact the place for writing center and heathy center.
Annual Student Services Fair
On 10/13/09, I went to the Center for Academic Advisement in VC 1-107. The advisors there were really nice and patient. They helped me figure out lots of doubts that bothered me for a long time. I really appreciated them answer some questions like Individual Career Counseling, Internships, Resume Reviews, and Financial Aids. Also in the Student Life Section I could get a blade shaver as a gift to deal with my annoying problem in daily life. For now, the only problem is that I have to focus more attention on my registration schedule for the next semester. I hope I can pick some courses that will be taught by some nice professors.
Thank you!
club fair
For the workshop, I went to Club Fair on September 24. And many people are there already before I get in. There are many clubs there so I just walk around and see what clubs they have. I find some clubs that I interest in, but there’s so many people there so I just leave my email to them. i think this worshop is fun, we can know what club we have in Baruch and it really help me to find the club that i want to join.
Club fair…
On September 24 I had an hour of spare time before work. So I decided to go to the club fair that was held in the gym because I heard it was a really big event. When I arrived to the gym there was tons of people. I had to wait for a long while to get into the gym. When I was there it allowed me learn about different types of club. I found this experience very helpful and fun. I walked about for a while and was able to get some handouts. I was intrested in some clubs but i have work so maybe i will join next semester.
Club Fair
I went to Club Fair on september 24th. It was held in Gym. As soon as i walked downstairs, i saw bunch of people waiting on the line to get in to the gym. I could went in quickly because i went with my friend who was supposed to help his club members. I slowely walked around to see what kind of clubs they have. They had a lot of different kinds of clubs. I was always interested to join sorority so i took a look at them and there were like 5 different kinds of sororities so i didnt know which one to choose. I put down my email address to several clubs so that i could get more information about their clubs. and i finally got a email from movie makers club. Im thinking about going to movie maker’s club workshop tomorrow for the first time. Im really excited to learn about movie making and meet new people.
Club Fair
Last week, on Thursday, i attended the Club fair in the gym of Baruch. This fair allowed me to see the great variety of clubs Baruch has to offer, and how the members of this clubs are committed to their association. There were clubs that supported a particular nationality, such as the Ecuadorian and Polish club, there were others that had to do with religions, there were the fraternity and sorority clubs, the ones that had to do with something artistic, such as the radio and dance team, and so on. There was a moment in the fair in which there was dance performances, some people also played “limbo”, and throughout the whole event, there was a dj. Going to this fair was a great experience because it allowed to be to see how diverse Baruch can be. It provided me with a lot of information and made me realize that I definitely want to join a club.
Freshman Reception Workshop
There was a workshop held on September 17 so I decided to go. Arguably one of the stupidest decisions that I made that day because the whole floor this event took place on was totally chaotic. Quoting one of the supervisors, “We are not use to this big crowd” hence resulting into the shortage of these folders. As I as unable to get one of those folders I was unaware of what the workshop was about. Later on that day I got the information from one of my peers. At the end of the day it was able of acquire some useful information regarding what classes to take in the future and important steps one needs to take in order to move towards his or her desired Major.
V.I.T.A. Open House
I went to the Open House of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance(V.I.T.A). The workship didn’t work out so smoothly. At first, they had some kind technical diffcults, they couldn’t get their projector to work, so we have to move to another room on the 5th floor. Although it wasted about 50 minutes, but i gained a lot of useful informations about how to become a Volunteer Tax Preparer, what are the requirements of it(no minimum GPA or experience required, but you need buy a VITA txtbook in the baruch bookstore,to prepare fot the test), and what benefits will you get as a Volunteer Tax Preparer( you can gain EXPERIENCE on tax return, IRS certification) It’s a wonderful oppturnity for people want major in accouting to gain experience on their field.
the club fair
I attended the club fair last Thursday. I always wanted to go to this workshop because I’m interested of knowing more about the clubs in Baruch. I found this workshop to be helpful and entertaining. There were so much to see in the club fair. Each club had some kinds of presentations to introduce to the people about its own club. Some of them gave out food and candies while others gave out pamphlets and handouts. There was also a dance presentation, which attracted a lot of people to go and see. Aside from all the fun I had there, I was able to to sign up and receive information about the clubs I’m interested of joining. I am glad that I had attended this club fair because it gives me an opportunity to get involve with the student life in Baruch.
Club Fair
For work shop this week, I went to club fair on last Thursday. There were so many people that I spent a lot of time in line just for getting in to gym. I expected that there would be numeral interesting clubs and it did not disappoint me. I saw so many different kinds of clubs there but it did not really help me actually. Because too many people crowded there, I could not find the funny clubs which I might want to join. The most useful thing I got was the little map of subway that I could bring it conveniently. To choose a club, maybe I should just ask my friend for help. It may be much helpful than the club fair.
