These Past Few Weeks

Who knew registration could be such a nightmare, I mean we all expected to be dissappointed about not getting the classes we want and frustrated when the seats start decreasing in front of us (didn’t get my english class of choice!!) but being completely stopped from registering by a red sign saying “You need permission” was nothing short of horrible. As I was being stopped from registering I could feel the classes I wanted filling up. Apparently a block on name was stopping registration which the registras office cleared and thankfully I got the classes I wanted. I feel sorry for those who had made schedules weeks ago and found out today that all those seats were taken.

That was probably the highlight of my week. Important lesson learned; procasting about writng papers gets you nowhere. The only thing procastination leads to is dark circles under your eyes when you are trying to write a paper about ancient Athenian society four in the morning, few hours before it is due. Visited the MOMA for an art history paper, another paper that I should not have procrastinated about, really enjoyed some of exhibits which had on display paintings from the Pop Art movement of the 70’s. I really wish the Tim Burton exhibit was open then, I can’t wait to see that exhibit. Overall it has been a good middle of semster, had some frustations with registration and history papers but also had fun visiting the MOMA.

One Response to These Past Few Weeks

In response to the classes, I agree, many of the classes did fill up faster than expected. Personally, my schedule wasn’t made on preference of the professor but more on the convenience of the times the classes begin and end. Unfortunately, I have four classes scheduled Monday/Wednesday. A lot of the classes I wanted to take were either taken (like the language classes) or are not considered part of the core curriculum which is something I want to get over with as soon as possible. Hopefully, you are content with the classes you have already. I too cannot wait for the opening of the Tim Burton exhibition at MoMA. I’m sure it’s going to be amazing!
