On a Saturday night Baruch destroyed last year champions Hunter 4-0 taking the the lead in the conference. There are still a lot of games ahead, but i feel really confident in our team.

Baruch Soccer
a turning point
I think college is an important turning point in my life, but I am not very excited in the college. There are many works to do everyday and I am tired. I need to spend one hour every morning to arrive the college and every class is longer than high school’s class. I am missing my life of high school. However, I am a freshman in Baruch College now and I have to do my best. I think when I make more friends and find more fun in here, I will change my mind. I am hoping my college life to being excited and interesting.
College Life
To be honest I was never really excited about college. I had such an amazing senior year and I’m still having a hard time letting it go. I’m starting to get use to the college life now. At first i just thought of it as a place where I had to be. The hardest thing about college is balance. High school was a breeze. I need to learn how to balance my time with school, work and definitely parties. So far the best thing that happened in my “college life” was going to the Jay Z concert. If I have more college days like that then Baruch won’t be so bad I guess.
starting my college experience is one to remember. the transfer was not as easy a s i thought it would be, but everyone in baruch college is helping me with the transsion. starting everyday later than i did in high school is a pleasure. i hope that my success in high school will roll over into baruch college.
FREEDOM!
I wasn’t really excited about starting college, since I already knew the building ( I took college now at Baruch) but now I’m starting to really like it here. The freedom that college brings is surreal. I love being able to just walk out of class to call someone without telling the professor a stupid reason for why i reaallyyy need to call my friend or like I’ll totally die. (lol) I love having choices about what clubs I can choose or where to go for lunch today. Overall I must say I love it all except a little class called math. Isnt that like THE hardest math class anyone can possibly take? So much information, so little time!
New School, New Life
At first I couldn’t wait for college to start. The thought of a new school and meeting new friends are very exciting. But after realizing how long the classes are and how much I have to read, it is getting very tiring. Especially the history class, since I don’t really understand the book very well. However I think math is pretty easy for now, but it might get harder later. I am really looking forward to knowing my classmates more and having fun in Baruch.
Adjusting to college.
The transition into college is different from case to case. For some, it’s not too big of a deal, for others, it’s a huge change that takes a while to get used to. For me, the change from my High School to Baruch was huge. I went from a school of about 380 to a school where some classrooms are nearly that big. It’s a strange feeling not knowing every person in the hallways, and running between three different buildings, when my High School consisted of one floor. Though it’s often confusing, I find this to be a pretty awesome experience. How about you guys? How well are you adjusting to college here at Baruch?
Visit to Native American Museum
The Native American Museum (in Bowling Green) wasn’t like traditional museums like the Met for example, it only had three main exhibits and a reference library. The museum still gave a really good picture of Native American traditions and culture. The artist Annie Pootoogook’s pieces portrayed mordern life in the reservations, which featured a lot of pieces about physical abuse and alcoholism. The different garments displayed there gave an idea of their lifestyles, like the garments they wore in events such as pow wows. The trip was fun and gave us insight in the Native American lifestyle. The Holland fair happening right outside was interesting too.
First Week of College
Well the first week of college has been kind of hectic for me. The massive amounts of information I was receiving from different links like baruchmail, esims, blackboard, was just just confusing. The commute for me to school is not so great it takes me about an hour an half to get to class, when in high school it took me ten minutes. The classes are a bit hard, but I was already expecting that since this is college and not high school. Math I find the most difficult because it is an hour and forty minutes long with no break and the professor gives you no time to process the information. However, I am expecting a fun year ahead because I already started to meet a lot of new cool people.
