Yesterday I went to a global community awareness workshop that was about Sonia Sotomayor. She was raised in the Bronx, but went to Princeton for her undergraduates and Yale Law School for graduate school. Sotomayor is the first Hispanic American and woman to be part of the U.S Supreme Court. The workshop basically consisted of three-four professors giving their views and information about Sotomayor. It was interesting, but kind of long. One of the professors connected Sotomayor to Obama, while another professor gave facts about her. It was good to learn about because I’ve never heard of her before, and now I see how important she is.
