I went in thinking it would be just a boring tour about an artist and his/her life, but having learned about her interest in still life arts it drew me in. Having draw some simple still lifes before I was very inspired by how Mercedes Matter was able to bring a whole new dimension to something as simple as a still life. The sectors of the gallery was divided into sections based on periods of her life. I was able to see the development of her art through age and the determination to create unique art. Over time some of her art matured and was more abstract. Overall, it was an interesting and inspirational experience.
