Freshman Philly Trip

On Friday Novemeber 13th, 2009, two members of LC 06 and I attended the Philadelphia trip, that was brought to freshman by the Undergraduate Student Government. It was a fun, cheap experience that I felt more of our LC would had enjoyed. Ashley, Patrick and I were extremely devistated at the fact that Ambrose was not able to attend due to unfortunate reasons… =(

On that Friday after being the second person in the gymnasium, I met a highly friendly individual and as the day went on, more and more people I met. Everyone that was there was seperated into groups four colored groups, the three members of LC 06 that were there was seperated–I was placed in the orange group. The reason for the groups was for the various activities that were preformed through out the two day trip.

Our first activity after breakfast was a to battle game where our group had to get all our sunset orange team members to the other side, while the midnight blue had to do the same thing. Even though the sunset orange group had twice the number of people because some people did not arrive to Baruch on time, sunset orange crushed midnight blue in the mine game. Then we had lunch, a speaker and then came the unforgettable catipillar game. This time we were battleing a different group, the point of the game again was to get from one side to the other, this time our anckles were taped together, so imagine ten individuals (boy, girl, boy girl, etc) taped together like a captipillar trying to get from one side of the room to the other. Well the point was that I was the only unbalanced person because I was the first to fall flat on my bottom and ended up leaving Baruch with a buise. =(

Even though the games were fun, the buise had me sad. Luckily we were on a coach bus so the seats were extremely comfortable and I had forgotten about it.
