I managed to survive.

So it’s been about three weeks, and they have passed by so quickly! Last week had been as hectic as the first with the amount of work that’s been pouring, but I’m beginning to learn how to manage my time slots to accommodate the load. Outside work, however, I am finding it hard to retrieve my social life. It’s very difficult to find that balance between academic and personal time for my family and friends. My friends are also finding it hard to find time outside college work, and that just adds to the difficulty. It’s easier to find time with my family, because well, they live with me. But they usually find me in my room, in front of the laptop, with a giant mug of coffee at hand, typing or writing hysterically. I’m sure I will find that balance somehow along the next four years in Baruch, but if someone already has the formula for it, please feel free to share.

Note to Analucia: I’m sorry, but I will NOT make it to Bike MS. But Lincoln Tunnel sounds good.

  1. I don’t think anyone has a formula to this just yet, since everyone is so different. I know I make a mental checklist and see if school work is a priority then I’ll do that first and on a break then I’ll talk to my friends if they are online or something. It is your first semester and you’ll get the hang of things.
