Please Blog about how you felt about the first week of school. Please be detailed. How are you adjusting so far? Do you have any expectations in Baruch or in any of your classes? Do you have question regarding anything? The point of this is to get you used to blogging. This is your blog. Please use it wisely. The point of this blog is to help you with your writing skills as well as get to know your fellow classmates. Remember what USG’s President said at Convocation, ““You all came to Baruch to succeed academically, but that is only half the reason you are here. Meet as many people as you can and get involved.” Baruch is a commuter school and it may be hard to resist just going home after classes but check out a club or something so you can have a sense of community that most of you probably experienced while you attended your high schools.

I want you to please blog about it by posting something. Please put if you are coming to the event which I have wrote on in the posts before.
HAVE A GREAT LABOR DAY!!
My first week was workable. I made it to all my classes on time and got there a tad too early, but I guess its better early than late. I spent tuesday’s long break by getting acclimated to the area around the school, which I guess could be considered my campus. There are a lot of good restaurents and the pizza from that little walk in place on 23rd Street is pretty good.
A big complaint I have is that our math teacher isn’t the best, he goes way to fast and the only reason I’m not lost is because this is all just a repeat from my high school years. I enjoyed my first week and only hopes it gets better through my years here.
I thought the first week of school was really good. The professors didn’t immediately overload us with work but slowly prepared us for whats to come. I just have to get out of summer vacation mode. I enjoyed meeting new people and seeing some old faces again.
I’m liking everything so far except my hour and a half commute.
Only complaint with Baruch is the two hour break between English and Ecology, but nothing a good nap won’t fix. The rest of my other bad experiences is all due to MTA Buses.
My first week was awesome… I like everyone in our Learning Community because we’re all different. The classes sizes are great since three of them are just us (LC 06). Classes are full of reading I’ve notice, something I do not normally do on a regular basis, (that is a laugh out loud moment). I wrote on my white board my expectations on when the homework should be done. That is the nice thing about college, the professors give you a syllabus saying when things are due. So I figured with school and then work study afterwards, I am going to try to have my homework done by Monday. College is about time Management, so hopefully I manage it well…
My first week at Baruch was actually pretty good. The people (peers and teachers) all seem nice. I got invited to some club events all throughout September so I’m going to try and make it to that. The workload looked really easy until today when I realized we have to read a bunch of pages and do like two papers for english. But yeah, it’s not that bad.
The only things I don’t like are that the escalators don’t work (but I heard that’s like always a problem so whatever I guess) and the 2 hr break between English and Ecology. I rather go earlier and leave earlier but I guess they made the schedule like that because of club hours.
Also guys I made like a general syllabus so that we don’t have to be flipping through 5 different ones. It’s kinda long but it has every assignment for all the classes for this semester so if you want it just email me at [email protected].
See you tuesday 🙂
My First day at Baruch was very good. Met new people, met old as well. Joined a club and now i feel like i know every one at Baruch. Class was easy but it’s only the first week. I expect it to be harder as weeks go by.
I’m confused at what/where/when we got to go to those little workshops even though i printed out some sheet that had all the info. it has all the info for ALL the groups and not just ours so maybe thats why.
