I went to an Impression Management fulfill the career exploration enrichment workshop. The speaker talked about how making a good first impression is key to get the job or get into a school. She said that most of these social network web sites like “myspace” and “facebook” can cost people their jobs or cause them to not get into the school they want to go to because most students and young people have inappropriate pictures and language on these site. Most people don’t realize that once those pictures and other inappropriate things are on the internet you can never get rid of them and you can’t stop someone from seeing them. We also discussed how dressing s certain way can say a lot about a person. Also how someone talks; their tone and attitude can also say a lot about a person. I learned a lot and I feel more confident when I go on my next interview, that i will get the job or if I decide to transfer to another school I think I will get in.
