My first day of school on a Monday morning was not as terrifying as I thought. Coming from Queens, I was not used to the busyness and the fast-paced flow of the city. I spent the night before asking questions and dreading being late for my classes the next morning. But when that first morning came as I sat in Tomasello’s class, I found myself at ease. The schedule wasn’t as complicated as I thought (even though I was a few minutes late for Math) all due to how helpful and friendly the students and the teachers are. I made a few friends and met many future ones.
The city became less intimidating and more exciting. I loved the variety of restaurants and delis all over downtown, the delicious coffee and not to mention, the interesting people i see on the streets…So all in all, the only problem I faced that day was keeping up with the work load given to us. I must now adjust my timing and set up priorities so that I will not fall back behind. But most importantly, I must now avoid the high school habit of procrastinating and avoiding valuable opportunities.
Time management is important. We will talk about it during Frehsman Seminar in the semester.
