UNICEF

Since I was not able to attend the Light the Night community service event, I was given the opportunity to help out another LC who is trying to receive funding to send to UNICEF. After having a minor issue on the time for the meeting, Sophia the mentor of LC21 was very nice and compromising and said to come to the meeting at 2:40pm on the Wednesday November 4th 2009. There a couple of our LC 06 members were there, those who had unfortunately could not have attended the Light the Night event also and those who wish to do more community service.

After spending like fifteen minutes talking about what UNICEFdoes, and then deciding jobs, I was given the opportunity to work with a great and delightful person, Mike E. On Thursday November 12th 2009, Mike and I went to the Freshman Seminar office on a expedition on finding the fliers left for us to hand out. After Mike looked for a while and even asked fellow staff members in the office, I entered and found four copies. But then Rob came and asked what we were looking for, and he found the stack of fliers in back of a desk. After going to the escalators to hand out the fliers, we went and made copies of the last flier and posted them up. We also made a quick stop at the game room because I wanted to see how it was like and we informed them about our bake sale.

It  was a great hour spent getting people informed about the event that is going to occur tomorrow, so support the UNICEF bake sale. =-)
