The first week of College was not quite what I expected. I was looking forward to be bombarded with work and doing tons of preparation. To my surprise, much of it was simply review and light work, though this will probably fluctuate as the year progresses. The classes seem fine though I am a little annoyed at the level and difficulty of work that we are doing. Much of it seems to be a repetition of High School, even the material stated further on the syllabus. The people are great and friendly. My one complaint is the lack of dorms so everyone kinda scatters back home immediately after school. Because many people live hours away, you can’t exactly ask them to stay longer to chill.

I had similar experience of what I thought was repitition of what is learned back in High School. Just be weary of paying attention and seeing if it is what you learned because then it’ll be a review, but you don’t then you might make a mistake that I did, which was relying on my knowledge to help me pass my exams.
Regards to dorming, I have definately complained about that. What they taught me at Baruch though, is if you want a sense of community then you’re goign to have to make it yourself whether it is hanging out with them or checking out clubs. You’ll get the hang of it soon as time goes on.
