Today I attended the student services fair for my benefit of getting my questions answered. Of course this wasn’t the first workshop where there were a million and one students in one area. Before I entered the multi-purpose room, I needed to give my social and received a folder with a small index card. It was a whole process to get the book stamped. First, you needed to write your name and last four digits of your social security on top of the card, just in case it was lost. The room had about 15 different tables set up, each for a service the school provides. There were like 20 different services on the index card and you needed to get at least 10 of them hole-punched to get the book stamped. This workshop was actually helpful because I had important questions answered. For example, it was important for me to find out about my financial aid. Also the study abroad table was informative about how and when you can go study abroad. There was a group of kids who took one of the hole punchers and decided to just make it easier for themselves. I was honest and got my card punched by the head of each table. My last table I visited was student life and this was the best. The reason it was the best was because I got a free fusion blade and a small box of deodorant. At least for myself, I learned a few important things that I needed to know.
