One of my biggest concerns coming into college was choosing classes. Really. The whole idea of it being your own personal responsibility to make sure you have all the credits to graduate. It’s pretty daunting. What if you don’t have all the credits at the end of four years? What if you missed something and didn’t know it? What if you don’t know what classes you’re supposed to take?
Our academic advisor definitely helped to ease my fears. Not only did he explain everything well, but he even met with some people at the end of the session to help them with their class choices. Although I know that it’s still your responsibility to make sure you graduate on time, I’m less stressed knowing that there are people (and websites!) in Baruch that will help you along the way.
I think I have a pretty good idea of what classes I’m taking next semester. I’m excited and terrified at the same time.
