My last freshman seminar class we had an advisor come in. He was very informative about the classes we all need to take to meet certain requirements. He explained Tier one, two, and three to us with a bit more detail so we could understand the classes we need to be taking. I think it was very useful having him come into the class to speak to us. I found my self having a better sense of the classes I should take to meet all my requirements to eventually go into the Business school of Baruch. I basically wrote down the classes I have to take and decided on the ones that I want and the ones that would be fill ins just in case I don’t get my first picks. The Academic Advisor really helped bring a greater understanding of the registration process I knew nothing about. I can now say that I know what to expect when registration comes along and what to do when applying for classes.
