At the Basic Interviewing Workshop held at 1-107 on 10/29/09 I received a pamphlet of do’s and don’ts during an interview and what do to before and after an interview. This workshop was the most useful one I’ve been to, I actually learned material I could apply to interviews in the real world. During the workshop we also did a little exercise and practiced introducing ourselves in the most influential way possible with a partner. What I found out was that it was pretty hard to “sell” yourself to the company if you didn’t have any interesting about yourself. There should be more workshops similiar to this one where you are able to apply the skills and information they teach you to a business situation since a majority of the student are majoring in business anyway. Overall, I felt this workshop was worth the time to attend even though refreshments weren’t served.
