I went to see this movie on a friday and I wasn’t really excited about going to see it. When I got there, the lady did not know how to work the computer so she told us that she wouldn’t be showing us the film. She still signed our book because we actually when there and she knew most of us just came to get our book sign. I considered myself lucky because of this. But afterwards I research the movie and I actually became interested. I wish we would have seen the movie, but I can see it another time.
SACC Everything you need to know to pass math
In this workshop, i learned about the different techniques to study for math and writing math notes. we were told that we should not cram at the last minute and sleep very late because we will forget everything and even the things we know. she also said that we should read the math problem questions carefully because it might not be asking what you think it is asking. It is very important to read over what you wrote because you might get the signs wrong or made a mistake even though the work is correct.
SACC: Everything You Need to Know to Pass Math
This workshop was somewhat informative it meet my expectations at least. The woman talking(i forgot her name) she gave us a lot of tips that are useful. also we received good information about SACC. Now i think i can approach math in a different way. I am not negative with Calculus anymore, now its more approachableto me. thanks god that i had Jessica, Diana, and Sandra next to me because we had to wait like 15 minutes or more for the workshop to start. Anyway, i think thats about it for the workshop.
Bye
SACC: Everything You Need to Know to Pass Math
Hey everyone, this is my 4th post here (only 2 more-yay!). Here’s the information on the freshman workshop I attended.
Title: SACC: Everything You Need to Know to Pass Math
Date/Time: Thursday, 10/15 @ 12:30-1:30 (VC 3-215)
This workshop aimed to give study tips for math and to discuss the many resources that are available to students. I thought that the workshop was pretty informative. There was a manageable amount of people (around 25-ish) for once. That was probably because the people at the SACC desk weren’t informed that this workshop was taking place and had accidentally sent other students away. In addition the room was occupied by FUSION club members who wanted to do karaoke, so there was a little mix-up with the room, but it was no big deal. I really like the people who were at the SACC desk. They were so nice! So I’ve decided I’m gonna visit SACC like at least weekly (probably more if I plan on doing better than just passing). On that note, the workshop was alright and was moderately informative but it got a little dull after awhile (thank God I was next to Sandra, Diana, and Liz). It didn’t take me outside my comfort zone although it did meet my expectations. I took away some literature from this experience, but not from the workshop-from the SACC center. So, I’m getting tired of writing. Carpe diem/weekend! lol

Student Service Fair
I thought that this workshop was very helpful. One of the reasons why I thought this workshop was helpful was because; I obtained a lot of information from the different departments that exist in Baruch. Another reason why it was helpful was because I found where these departments are located. In school all you hear is you should go the Academic Advisement Center or the Starr CDC or the student life, however I didn’t know where they were, through this workshop I found out where they were. This workshop was also helpful because, it answered my question of what are the classes I need to take next semester and in order to get to the Zicklin Business School. I also obtained information about the famous SIMNET test, this was also helpful. In addition, I thought that the people were informative and took their time to explain things. This is why I thought this workshop was helpful.
Student services fair
Today’s workshop in the multi-purpose room was very helpful. It detailed the different places, activities, and organizations at baruch; From how to get into the honors program to playing in a baruch team.
Student Services Fair
The Student Services Fair was very helpful and informing. They provided a various assortment of information regarding different services the school has along with where to get help for whatever you need. Most of the things were already introduced to us, but here many students were able to further question and look into the different services provided at Baruch. It was very crowded but very informal.
Student Services Fair
The student services fair was fairly interesting, there were some sections that gave out information, such as the Study Abroad program and the Athletics program. However, there was a lot of people…and it was pretty hard to get through the crowds. I also met some interesting people along the way who were transfer students, and they didn’t speak english too well. They also primarily spoke in their native tongue, which seems to be quite common here in Baruch.
Club Fair
I went to the club fair on September 24th, I thought the Club Fair was fun for a few minutes but the crowd to get in, and the crowd to see the people dance was too much. Plus, clubs wouldn’t let you get candy or w/e they had unless you signed up to join the club. The preformers and DJ were entertaining except for when the music stopped. I signed up for one club, and after, I signed up for a couple others. Its amazing how all it takes is your name and email address for you to be in a club.
