Club Fair 9/24/09

Club Fair was the first workshop I attended.  It seemed like a great thing to see all the clubs in one location and get a grasp of each one. I followed the ‘balloons’ down to the gym and saw a massive crowd. All the people were waiting in line just to get swiped in to enter the gym. When I finally got into the gym, I first made sure to get my book signed or else I would forget. Then i actually started looking at all the clubs.

It wasn’t the number of clubs that shocked me but rather how diverse each one was. Clubs vary from religious groups, to fraternities and academic groups to athletic based organizations. It was interesting to see the variety of groups. Extreme groups such as the archery club, has a place in the long list of clubs that Baruch has to offer.

Overall, I decided not to join any groups yet, but postpone it until the second semester. I just want to get use to the academic side of college and see if i can handle it before i give my committment to other activities. Nonetheless, it was still a great opportunity to see all the groups that were there.
