Impression Management-Academic Enrichment-11/24

This workshop should definitely be apart of the requirement for any kind of student or employee looking into a job or career.  Impression Management is basically knowing how to present yourself in order to make people see you as how you want to be seen.  I actually went to workshops about this very subject during my summer internship and I was able to reinforce a lot of my previous knowledge.  The speaker was very knowledgable about the topic and was actually pretty engaging.  I feel that this kidn of workshop is especially imporant in a school such as Baruch because employers are looking for future candidates for their work site all the time and the way you look could be the difference between getting the job and being one of the many skipped over.  I found it very useful that the speaker did not try to hide the fact that first impressions make or break you.  He let us know that loud and clear.  The truth is that employers usually take one look at you and decide whether they want you or not.  Overall this kind of info is a necessity for all students and was pretty entertaining as well.
