THE FRESHMAN RECEPTION- Community-Global Awareness- 09/17/09 12:30PM

This was the first workshop I attended, and I did not know what to expect. As I walked down the stairs from class to the 5th floor where the workshop was taking place I walked into a crowd of people. The crowd was a lot larger then what could fit into the office where the workshop was taking place. I think that in order to make this workshop better the next time the email should be clearer. When I read it I thought that this workshop was mandatory, and I think that is how a lot of other people in the crowd interpreted it as well. That is why there was such a large turn out. Maybe if it was in a different venue like the gymnasium it would have fit everybody. After the long wait I got to hear some speakers talk about the available courses and majors at Baruch.  Unfortunately there were not enough handouts and I was not able to follow along with the speaker. Because of the large crowds I did not get to ask many questions that I had. This workshop took my comfort zone because f how overcrowded it was. I would recommend this workshop to others if it isn’t as crowded when they go.
