Learning about potential club memberships at Baruch had been a priority since well before college started. Having been a huge club junkie in high school, I thought it only natural to attend the largest meeting of clubs that would occur all year and see what each one had to offer. It took place in a large gymnasium — each club was given a table for a banner, some club-related materials and perhaps a free gift or two. The organizational effort was incredible; every club was set up and ready to go by the time I had gotten there.
Upon arriving I was surprised at the variety and sheer number of club options that were present. Everything from writing for the newspaper to learning about Judaism was open to learn about. I took papers, signed sheets and even grabbed a few gifts during the process before heading off to lunch. I stayed for a good half an hour and really took away an interpretation of the student life in Baruch. It was a positive experience that allowed me to really get a feel for what clubs at Baruch can provide for me.
