As an incoming freshman, this specific workshop served as a catalyst and as a bridge to many new students at Baruch college to get a broader idea of the immense opportunities that the institution offers to everyone. It was specifically aimed at Freshman students, this workshop tried to gather many people together and it gave us lots of information regarding the variety and diversity of the student life at Baruch. I personally highly enjoyed being there for various reasons, one of them was because i realized that i was not alone during my first college days. Overall, the club fair brought me closer with my friends also, it allowed us to have more topics to talk about and it definitely helped drastically. The workshop helped me tremendously and i am sure it helped others as well, and i think that that was their main goal, to make us feel as comfortable as possible. I specifically picked this workshop because i knew that there was going to be a good amount of the people from my learning community and i wanted to become closer to them. I wanted to create new opportunities to grow as an individual at Baruch college, and it helped me find out about clubs that caught my interest, such as PorColombia, a colombian-based club concentrating on culture, passion, activities etc about my country of birth. Honestly, this has been the best workshop i have attended and it absolutely met my expectations because i received what i was looking for, and Baruch College did an amazing job at making the transition smooth.
