Today I attended the arts at baruch workshop in the 23rd street building.The line was pretty long to begin with and small groups went in every 10 minutes or so to view the work of an artist ( I did not catch her name). She basicly paints things in a very abstract way using a variation of different colors and shapes. At a first glance the paintings just look like something anyone can do and I guess to understand her paintings you need to view it from an artists point of view and try to find a deeper meaning in the paintings and why the shapes are the way they are.
