Sonia Sotomayor

9/22/09 I arrived just a little late to this workshop but I was still able to get in and hear what they had to say. Sonia Sotomayor was the first hispanic supreme court judge and she was born in the Bronx. Basically it was her biography about how hard it was for her to get to where she was. She was in an area where there was a lot of crime and drug activity and she was able to get out of it and get a full scholarship to school. It was also because people like Sonia Sotomayor had financial problems and wanted to go to school that the S.E.E.K program was there to help people achieve an education just like Sonia.
