The workshop was not bad, but it was terribly organized. There was not a lot of space but a lot of people wanted to attend. Since it said to pre-register on the calendar, I did, but when I got there (a little late, since math teacher likes to keep us late), they said the workshop was already full, even though there were many people inside that didn’t register for it, and there was no room for many people that had pre-registered. The instructor of the workshop though did let students sit on the floor, so I was still able to get in, but many others weren’t because it became a fire hazard. In the workshop we basically talked about conflicts students experience at Baruch, and one of them was the bad organization of the workshops. This was the last workshop for personal enrichment, and the last academic enrichment workshop was already a long time ago, despite many people not having been able to attend one. In the end, we chose someone from the room to go speak to whoever is responsible for the workshops to solve the unfair problem. I don’t think I really learned anything from it, but it wasn’t a boring workshop either….I stayed awake the whole time!
