Ah. Arts at Baruch. To be honest, one of the most boring if not THE most boring workshop ever made up. No hard feelings Jenny? =) Anyway, there is nothing special about this workshop besides the fact that it felt like a mini trip of boredom hosted and narrated by a robot. The “tour guide” as I will call her, basically gave nothing more than the history of the painter Mercedes Matter. To be honest, her paintings are not even interesting. Its a bunch of lines and weird shaped things that I don’t even know. A triangle supposedly represents a desk…to her..somehow. To me it looks like a 5 year old got angry and splattered paint all over a white canvas. I mean honestly there is NOTHING, and I mean NOTHING good to talk about this workshop. The line was super long, the tour was short and uninteresting and it was just a dull and boring workshop. At least she could have handed out free stuff to please us. But no. A bunch of boring paintings representing some unknown ideas. Pardon me for my wrong judgment of art, but honestly I’ve seen paintings from various painters, like Van Gogh and Matisse and they seem much more interesting. I’m not saying she’s a bad artist, but its just no too interesting…Overall, a boring workshop.
