In this workshop we listened to a tape recording of a psychologist also author of a book on stress reduction conduct a relaxation where we closed our eyes and relaxed every muscle. Before we did that we were asked to take a rasin and slowly examine it by touching, smelling, tasting, and chewing it. The point of this exercise was to realize that the experience of eating the rasin that way was differnt that the usual. I thought it was strange, and the stress reduction exersize wasnt that relaxing it was just telling us to relax our body.
