Coat Drive

On  Dec 3rd I manned the coat drive table being ran by Freshmen Seminar. Although it might seem quite boring it felt good knowing that these coats were going to people who need them. It is no secret that the city has many homeless people and people in need so a coat drive is a great way to help the less fortunate out. I learned a lot about Baruch students simply by the fact that coats were in the box. Maybe the person just wanted to get ride of the coats, but giving them to the coat drive is a perfect way to do it. You free your closet of clutter and help a needy person out at the same time.  By seeing the coats in the box it showed that Baruch students care about others and do not just selfishly go on with their lives pretending that others do not need our help to survive.
