I know the semester is not over yet, but it is coming to a close. I just wanted to know everyone’s feelings on their first semester because very few of you will actually tell me in person. How do you feel about this semester? Teachers? Peers? What do you think about splitting with our LC or are some of you indifferent? Personally, I enjoyed all of my classes and I feel very blessed to have had this specific LC. Hopefully, we will have some classes together!

this semster was okay. im hoping for a better time next year because we get too choose our scheduals. the process is annoying but it needs to be done. as for our teachers, im ok with them they all seem the same to me in the end. i hope to c some of u guys in my future classes. especially u mikhail
It was a pretty good semester. I hope that the following semesters at baruch won’t get more difficult. I am hoping that I pick the right classes and professors for next semester. I wasn’t too happy with some of my professors this semester but we weren’t allowed to pick. I enjoyed being part of this LC.
I liked the first semester. The professors and peers made it that much better. This group is filled with people with different personalities which is great. In the beginning, I was not interested in a LC. I’m glad I chose it though.
Its strange cause in my posts before I was complaining about the whole concept of an LC and how it made college a lot like high school. But now I feel that its given me a push into the college life gradually rather than throwing us into the wolves. My professors are all decent and most of them once again don’t just throw us to the wolves but help us get into the mentallity of college life. I agree with Harrison when he said “I think this school is in every way perfect EXCEPT for the commuting”
I honestly expected my first semester to be a lot more difficult, but the classes are interesting, the work is manageable, the professors aren’t unreasonable and my peers are awesome. I’m really glad I was a part of LC17 because you guys made my first semester as a college student in Baruch a memorable one. I hope I’ll see you guys in my other classes!
During orientation, the idea of an LC seemed strange to me but I unknowingly picked an LC (I picked my schedule based on the classes I think I would like) and I’m a bit sad about splitting with our LC because LC17 is super awesome. Everyone is likable and friendly (like hmui said) and it made me look forward to class. But of course, we can’t always have the same classes. As for teachers for this semester, most were awesome, but some, I couldn’t understand them too well… I hope to see my LC buddies around and that the people in my future classes will be just as cool (which is impossible, but I’ll be hopeful).
This first semester has been good and I enjoyed being in this LC. Classes weren’t as bad as I expected and there wasn’t too much work.
Yeah I second all these. LC17 is definitely the best. I like you guys a lot because you’re all kind and smart. Also, we have a nice diverse bunch and that has taught me a lot of things about understanding where and what other people are coming from. The teachers are okay and work is decent. Although, I’m scared of the overall GPA when the semester ends because it could go either way. I think this school is in every way perfect EXCEPT for the commuting lol.
It was a good semester. It was nice to be in LC17. The classes weren’t easy but I enjoyed the challenge.
I agree with everyone. This LC is great. I know people that complain about their classes because of their peers yet i think everyone in our LC gets along and we all respect each others thoughts. This is important in a class setting i guess.. =].
I really liked the first semester. I like all my classes except calculus, I’m sure everyone in that class knows why. I felt like I was pretty outgoing this semester and I’m usually more on the shy and quiet side, so I’m proud of myself for that.
And it was a good semester because the Yankees won the World Series and I’m going to the parade tomorrow!
I think this first semester has been good. I enjoy being a part of an LC. I got new friends that I doubt I would have if I simply went to class to class without knowing the people around me because I am shy in meeting new people. The workload for the classes is manageable and hopefully it will continue to be that. Baruch overall has proven to me to be a great college. I think the professors have shown to be good, reliable professors, and my peers are very respectful and good people. Next semester, I am going to miss the LC. Its like starting freshman year again because you don’t know most of your peers who will take the same classes as you, but that is college.
