I dont know if I’m allowed to do this but I have the urge to say something about these bake sales.
Yes I understand that clubs need to raise money in order to keep it running and so that members won’t have to pay out of their own pockets BUT, I don’t think bake sales are very effective in raising money…
Especially because all the clubs are selling the same thing: cupcakes, cookies, brownies. Things that you can make yourself (with the pre-made packets). And too much of this will raise your blood pressure anyhow.
I think clubs should sell REAL food. Like BLTs, Tortilla chips with Dip (salsa, cheese), Riceballs, Fruit Salads, whole fruits, chocolate covered strawberries/pretzels/etc, Cheese and crackers… I dont know. Anything other than the same old thing.
Your opinon on this? Am I violating any rules by posting this?
What happened to eating apples, oranges, bananas, etc.? That’s much healthier.
really mnauth? I love nachos. As for the aromas of food, I think it would be awesome to smell a mix of different foods rather than just sweets. =D. I’d be all excited, trying to figure out what that smell is. But then again, some just prefer sweets…..
Akishwary, I agree. A rap/jingle or something different would be better.
Some of the foods that you called aren’t even real foods either. Tortilla chips?…that’s worse that cupcakes. I think these sweets are great, people do buy them just not a lot of them. I was thinking that actual food would be great but I do not think any of you would want the 2nd floor smelling unattractive to some because of the aroma of the food. Therefore, the bake sale with baked goodies is just fine.
These clubs should be more creative. I don’t thinking yelling “Baaake Sell” attracts customers; it’s just annoying. They should come up with some rap or jingle. It’s both entertaining and I bet it’ll improve business.
Along with making a big mess, these treats contain large amounts of sugar and are high in calories. A healthier alternative is needed. (water, fruits, etc.)
lol, what made u think of this? I mean to an extent i guess i agree, with everyone selling the same thing everyday… it really doesnt make me want to buy cupcakes haha
