It was worse than I thought…I felt less nervous than I thought.

i couldn’t view mine that well because Clemente is the best camera man ever. He just took a video of my power point but i could hear myself and i know i can do better

thank you for being so generous with my grading even though i was somewhat of a nervous wreck. and that i didn’t give as much consideration to my topic as i should have. But then again, im usually nervous when it comes to public speaking…

It was basically what I had expected. I thought I did a decent job but I know it wasn’t perfect. You told me important things like to use more hand gestures and to generally not stand behind the podium. I realized that I shouldn’t stand behind the podium but I didn’t really think about the hand gestures.

I think that this was what I expected. I am not usually a good public speaker, but I think that I can make progress.

I was honestly not prepared because of the other class work and my job work that week. I had no time to get ready in advance, so that presentation was improvised completely. I know I could do better, I have good presentation skills. I am embarrassed by my using the paper for reference, and my reapeated “umms””. However I feel good for a presentation pulled together in 20 minutes.

  7. Mm..I guess I was a little too comfortable and casual for the task. I suppose it comes from being used to starting conversations with complete strangers. I’ll work on being more formal.

It was what I expected. I use too many fillers and its a bad habit. During the presentation, I did not feel that I was referring to my notes for the most part. After reviewing the video, I found out that after almost every point I made, I looked down at the paper.

  9. The grade and feedback were what I expected. I know I use “like” a lot but I did not realize how much I used it until I watched the video back.

  10. Yohan says:

I agree. I think I did what I expected. Watching myself presenting, I realized that I needed to explain more about the subject. I was rushing to finish it, which is why the length of my presentation was quite short compared to others.

  11. Angel Pan says:

I think I did what I expected and by watching the presentation I was able to see myself as part of the audience. From watching it, I realized that it was distracting to keep on waving the paper because I was nervous.

I don’t think I did worse than expected, but I did learn of the extent of particular aspects of my speech delivery that I could improve on. When speaking in front of class, I thought I was giving enough eye contact, but seeing myself, I was looking too much at my paper. I guess it was the nerves that made me think I looked up more than I did. Also I realized that I tend to sway from side to side my body, which I never knew until now. At first I didn’t want to be filmed when doing the speech, but I think it was a good thing because now I can see as an audience member to myself what I need to improve on.

  13. Eric says:

This was what i expected. I do not usually make the best eye contacts when publicly speaking because I am rather nervous. Other than that, I agree with what I received as my grade.
