I liked this workshop. It’s was nice and short. Alfonso Quiroz helped boost up my self-confidence. As he mentioned in his speech, never take no for an answer, there will be people to stop you but you should move on and follow your heart.
I liked this workshop because Alfonso Quiroz was very open to talk about being gay and being in politics. He didn’t talk so much about being gay, but more about never giving up in whatever you want to achieve. If you’re gay, black, Hispanic, or any other minority, don’t let that define who you are. Instead of listening to those who say you shouldn’t do something because of your race, gender, or sexuality, ignore them and prove them wrong by working hard to achieve what you want to do in life. That is what I am trying to do right now, and will continue to do until I’ve achieved my goal of being a successful Hispanic woman.

yes, it was a really interesting workshop. it wasn’t boring at all, it was short and with refreshments.
Oh man I missed this one…I need a global awareness workshop.
