On November 3rd I attended a workshop held by the STARR Career Development Center at Baruch. For this particular workshop I was required to register online. When registering the site labeled this workshop as “Small Talk.” However, when I walked into the room I was pleasantly surprised that it was a “Choosing A Major and Career” workshop. The presentation was very interesting and helped me get closer to deciding on a major.
I learned about a major that I hadn’t heard of before called the Management of Musical Enterprises. I’m fascinated with the world of music and I was excited to learn about this major. I also learned about personality types and what jobs may suit my personality. I am still undecided as to what to major in but I’m one step closer than I was before. I’m going to be making important decisions that affect my future soon and I hope to gain access to the right path through my adventures at Baruch.
