1) Freshman Reception
2) b) Academic Enrichment
3) September 17, 2009 12:30 P.M – 2:30 P.M
4) The flier I received didn’t outline the goals of the freshman reception. I only knew that there would be “fabulous prizes.”
5) I went because I figured this was as good an event as any to fulfill my workshop requirements. It didn’t take me out of my comfort zone since I was there for only 5 minutes.
6) I didn’t have any expectations for the reception, but I think it failed. I don’t think they were prepared to accommodate all those people who had come to the event. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone else. I was given a folder and I was told I could leave.
7) I did not learn much from the freshman reception. I didn’t take away much from the reception.

2) Academic Enrichment
3) Thursday, September 17/ 12:30 pm- 2:30pm
4) The goals of this workshop was to inform incoming freshmans about the curriculums of Baruch and minors offered at the school.
5) I selected this workshop because I thought it would be a good experience, where I would learn more about the programs offered at Baruch. It did not take me out of my comfort zone because there wasn’t much to the workshop.
6) The workshop failed my expectations because it did not do anything from me. I found it a waste of my time.Once I got in I was handed a folder and a lady there signed my planner and said I could leave. So I would not recommend this workshop to other people.
7) I learned nothing from this experience. I looked through the papers in the folder but I had nobody to answer my questions, like if it’s necessary to choose a minor. I was surprised to see how unorganized everything was.
