1. Club Fair
2. Student Life
3. Thursday, September 24th 2009 from 12:30-2:30
4. This workshop served as an introduction to all the clubs at Baruch. It had various clubs and fraternities come and show what they did in the groups and what were the requirements, if any, to join that club.
5. I selected this workshop because I wanted to know about the various clubs at Baruch so I can choose which one I would want to be a part of. It provided me with a chance to meet new people, talk to club leaders/members, which took me out of my comfort zone, because I don’t like talking to strangers.
6. This workshop met my expectations, because it was not only club booths with boring pamphlets, but there were live performances by clubs, like the ballroom dance club. This gave me a chance to experience what I would be doing if I decided to join. I would recommend this workshop to other students because it takes you out of the library and shows you the other part of college life. The part that includes socializing and enjoying your time at Baruch.
7. From this workshop I learned about the various clubs offered here at Baruch, from dancing to honor societies to one’s own cultural clubs. I learned that college is not only about hitting the books but also about making your time at Baruch a memorable one. From this experience I will take away the hope of becoming a bigger part of Baruch through the clubs I will join.
