The workshop was suppose to help students learn how to mediate and resolve conflicts.
I selected this workshop because I wanted to learn more ways to resolve conflicts without resorting to violence. I did take me outside my comfort zone because I had to sit on the floor due to the over-packed room.
This workshop failed my expectations because majority of the conversation was about how an ombud can help mediate and resolve conflicts. I would not recommend it to another student because a lot of people were uncomfortable sitting at anyplace with free space and the workshop was not informative enough.
I learned that an ombud can help two people in conflict work things out when they have trouble talking with each other. I never knew such a thing existed until I went to this workshop.
