Gallery Tour

  1. Gallery Tour
  2. Arts at Baruch
  3. 10/13/19, 1:00-2:00 pm, Mishkin
  4. This workshop was a tour of photography done by students at Baruch and famous work that was donated to the college. The tour’s goal was to show students the capability of the Arts Department, and explain different styles of photography.
  5. I selected this workshop because I love photography. I took it in high school and it was the best class. It did not take me out of my comfort zone, because the tour guide was just going from one photo to the next, explaining the artist’s techniques. I was already familiar with what she was talking about so it was in my comfort zone.
  6. This workshop met my requirements, because I expected to see a lot of interesting photography, and I did. My favorite was the one with 4 bodies that looked like a desert. I would recommend this to another student because it shows the other side of Baruch. People think Baruch and they think business, they never think of the arts.
  7. This tour provided very general information and because I had photography knowledge beforehand, I didn’t learn much. But it was an interesting experience, because I got to see very beautiful landscape/nature photographs. Nothing surprised me, but what I am taking away from this experience is that I’m definitely taking photography as a minor.

Sounds like you had a good time! There’s another tour of the gallery on Nov. 3 for anyone who wanted to go but missed it. I might stop by, as well.
