UNICEF Fundraiser

  1. UNICEF fundraiser/bake sale
  2. Community/Global Awareness
  3. November 17, 12:25-2:30
  4. For this fundraiser, I made fliers. I used quotes and information from the Unicef website, along with my own photography. I tried to apply an emotional appeal to encourage people to donate. I also helped out on the table from 1:15 to 2:20, past the time requirement, but i enjoyed doing so. The cake and brownies sold really fast. Some people didnt buy anything but they donated, so that was very nice of them. I donated too!
  5. I have participated in fundraisers before, mostly in high school. The experience was the same. The hardest part as always is to get people to stop walking by and actually stop to purchase something. What i did notice is that when people hang around the table it seems to attract other people. So the next time i do a fundraiser, which i will do, i will make my friends hang aroud the table. I enjoyed the fact that it was for a good cause and especially for children, whom i love! I will do it again, because it feels good to know that you helped someone or made some kind of a difference. I will take away from this experience that college students love brownies and chocolate cake, people attract more people, and you’re not allowed to be loud at a bakesale. But i think that defeats the whole purpose. If you cant be loud, how will you attract people to the table?
