4. How can I describe a blood drive? People go to the blood drive to donate blood. First, I had to get signed in and fill out a couple of papers. Then I had to wait in line to get tested to see if I was healthy enough to donate. I was! =) Then after being tested, I waited in another line to get called in to donate blood. That took about twenty minutes or so. It was not bad at all. Finally, I went to a table where there were snacks and drinks to have after donating blood. I had some cookies and water and then I had to rush to class.
5. I had donated blood two times before and I really like the feeling of being able to help save a life. That is the only reason I chose to do this. But I did not know that this counted toward the workshop requirement for Freshman Seminar. So I guess I was two times as happy that I got to do two things: save a life and have one of the workshop requirements completed!
6. I did not have any expectations for this workshop. So the blood drive did not meet or fail anything.
7. The only thing that I wondered about the blood drive was why we had to make appointments to donate blood. I went to the room to donate blood, I had to wait a really long time, and by the time I was out I was already late to my class. The woman who signed my planner told me that I should not run or anything, but I was already late for my class. I really don’t think there is any point in making appointments. Whoever wants to go to donate blood should just go when they know that they have an hour to an hour and half free.
