1. New York Piano Society Holiday Concert
2. Arts at Baruch
3. Saturday, Decemeber 5, 2009/7:30p.m. – 9:oop.m.
4. At this workshop, the New York Piano Society members came to play music on the piano at Baruch. These people who played the piano are not pianists. They have their own jobs (doctors, writers, journalists, etc.) but they love playing the piano, so they came to Baruch to perform.
5. I have maybe two reasons why I chose this workshop. First, I needed to get another workshop in for FRO and this was the last one. Another reason was because the calendar said it was going to be a holiday concert.
6. I thought this workshop was okay. I was expecting that some of the people playing the piano would have played holiday music. To my surprise this did not happen. For that reason I really did not enjoy the concert. Overall, however, I thought that these people are really talented and that they did not play bad at all. I stared at their hands and I just think it’s amazing how they could play the piano like that.
7. I would recommend this event to anyone who likes to listen to the piano, or anyone who wants to do something different. I had never gone to an event to watch and listen people play the piano and this was a good opportunity. What made it even better was that it was FREE. I should have been on the lookout for other events that were free also. This event was something new for me and I enjoyed it! (I would have enjoyed it much more if they played holiday music =[ )
